OLD DOCUMENTS

It is a fact that around the world there are countless private collections of ancient documents and objects. And, although we would not want it to be so, it is a reality that has helped to preserve valuable jewels of our history that, if they had fallen into the hands of sects or fanatics, would most likely have been destroyed.

It is a fact that around the world there are countless private collections of ancient documents and objects. And, although we would not want it to be so, it is a reality that has helped to preserve valuable jewels of our history that, if they had fallen into the hands of sects or fanatics, would most likely have been destroyed.

Of course, many of the documents have not even been made public, for fear of losing them or simply because their owners do not know how valuable they are on their shelves. However, it is thanks to these collectors that our humanity has been able to know such wonderful objects as the apocryphal gospels of early Christianity, Mayan and Inca codices, Egyptian, Persian and Hindu stelae, and much more.

Mr. Martin Sheien, a Scandinavian millionaire, is one such collector who has brought priceless items to light. With a collection of antiquities so huge that it could be the envy of any museum, he has slowly shared the pieces he has and given them for analysis and translation.

One of his most amazing possessions is a stone tablet, written in cuneiform, which is said to be more than five thousand years old, but in reality its age has not been established. In it is narrated how in a very distant time several nations gathered their technology and engineers to build a giant, shiny and polished structure. The mention reminds us of the Tower of Babel, in addition, the story refers to Marduk, a very special name, which appears repeatedly in several ancient writings.

But who was Marduk, an angel, a supernatural being? In other writings he is mentioned as the Angel of the internal war and in others as the Lord of the flying chariots, but who was he, and what do the other 106 accompanying tablets of this story, also in Martin's hands, say; was he a ziggurat, or was he an Atlantean building five kilometers high? A mystery yet to be solved.
